Srinagar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed a case against seven persons, including two former Ministers on alleged impersonation charges in the infamous Batra medical college entrance test last year. CBI, the premier investigative agency this afternoon filed a case (Fir No 9/2011) against the sacked Congress Minister, G M Saroori, former National Conference, Minister Rampal for alleged use of impersonators for their wards in the medical entrance test last year. Five others have also been charged for their role in the scam. Saroori, the then works minister in the Omar Abdullah led coalition government had allegedly arranged a fake examinee for his daughter Huma Tabassum to appear in the medical entrance test, while Rampal had allegedly done the same for his son Lovish Bharat. After his name figured in the scam, Saroori was forced to quit from his office. Rampal, who headed the Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes cell of the party, Jammu province resigned from his job after the scam surfaced.
