Be aware of unauthorized agents for jobs abroad: CB to People

According to press release issued by Additional Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Srinagar, the concerned department has advised the general public apply for jobs abroad only from those agents who have been dully authorized from the Govt. An initiative of Govt. of India, Ministry of Labour provides a list of such agents who have been authorized by the Govt. for placement abroad and which has been given a wide publicity in the media also. The general public is hereby advised by the department of Crime Branch that they should check the said list prior to applying for jobs abroad so that they don’t get duped by unauthorized agents and bear humiliating actions like repatriation and monetary loss too. A similar case was solved by Crime Branch Kashmir in which Crime Branch Kashmir has submitted the charge sheet of case FIR No. 54/07 against Mr. Abdul Khaliq Nagoo S/O Habib-ullah Nagoo R/O Azad Gunj Baramulla. Mr. Nagoo had duped two person Mr. Zahoor Ahmad and Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad both residents of Pethmuqam Magaam of Rs 73,000 each while promising them jobs of electronic technicians in Saudi Arabia and Amaan. The unfortunate duo was repatriated from Amaan when their Visa and other travel documents were found fake by the authorities in Amaan. Mr. Nagoo had utilized the services of Mr. Riyaz Ahmad a resident of Mumbai and it was with his help that he had been able to procure the fake visa and
other travel documents.
