Hizb Cmdr's sister released

Srinagar: Police on Saturday bailed out the sister of top Hizb commander arrested for her alleged role in handling Hawala transactions in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reliable sources told Kashmir Express that 23-year-old Suraya alias Soni, daughter of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar was bailed out by police this afternoon after two days of detention. Suraya, sister of Hizb commander Sajad Ahmad Dar alias Amir was handed to her family leading to celebrations in Pinglish village.

"She was released on bail around 12:30, this afternoon," police sources said.

Pertinently, police on Friday had charged the woman under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

“Suraya was arrested from her residence on a tip-off. Though, nothing was recovered from her possession, she has confessed to have handled a Hawala transaction of Rs 5 lakh,” Station House Officer (SHO) Tral, Mohammad Maqbool had told Kashmir Express Friday.
