Jammu, December 10:- The State Cabinet, which met here this morning under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah approved the recommendations of the pay anomaly committee set up by the Finance Department. It also approved enhancement of retainership and counsel fee in respect of Law Officers of Law Department.
In another decision, the Cabinet approved creation of one post of Additional Advocate General, headquartered at New Delhi and additional standing counsel for the State at the Supreme Court.
The cabinet also approved amendments in the J&K Panchayati Raj Act-1989 by which setting up of a State Election Commission has been recommended.
In yet another decision, the Cabinet approved the extension in the services of Bashir Ahmad, IAS, Commissioner, Sales Tax and reemployment of Abdul Hakim, Deputy Director, District Motor Garages, Leh.
