APDP holds monthly sit-in at city centre

Srinagar: Demanding the whereabouts of the persons who have gone missing in the last 21 years of conflict, the Association of Parents of Disappeared persons (APDP) Thursday staged monthly sit-in demonstration at the Pratap Park, Lal Chowk.
Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Express that dozens of APDP members led by its President; Parveena Ahanger appeared at Pratap Park here and staged anti-government demonstrations this afternoon.
Carrying placards and banners that read “Stop crime against humanity,” We demand independent, credible commission on enforced disappearances, “Implement court orders, prosecute the guilty,” “Replace impunity with accountability,” “No shall be enforced to enforced disappearances,” the protesters were demanding the whereabouts of the people who went missing in forces captivity.
