Srinagar: Kashmir today returned to normal today after over two weeks’ of tension. The markets witnessed huge rush of shoppers’ in summer capital and other major towns. Traffic jams were witnessed in city center -Lal chowk, Dalgate, Jehangir Chowk, Dalgate and other commercially busy areas.
The sale of woolens again picked up in wake of biting chill prevailing in valley.
Braving intense chill, students attended tuitions classes at centers across the valley. Government and private offices noticed good attendance of employees.
Baskshi Stadium, which was sealed for the traffic movement witnessed a huge rush of traffic.
Reports reaching Agence India Press from other districts said that markets remained open and traffic was on the roads.
