
Minister for Tourism, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora today inaugurated Joint Photo Exhibition of Tourism and Information Departments. It was decorated with festive colours. A large number of people, academicians, intellectuals, and other distinctions persons participated in the photo exhibition. Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism Mr. Atul Dollu, Director Information Kh. Farooq Renzu Shah, Director Tourism, Secretary Cultural Academy, Joint Director Information, Jammu Mr. Soujanya Kumar Sharma and other senior officers were present on the occasion. The Exhibition was organized on the eve of Lohri-cum-Raghunath Festival 2011. Artists of Cultural Academy presented variety cultural programmes on the occasion. The Exhibition highlighted the achievements of last two years of the present government depicting several mega projects taken up in the state. These include Government Primary Health Centre Later Baramulla, Government Primary Health Centre Gool Gujral, Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur, Emergency Block GMC, Jammu and First Line of Grid Station Barn Kote Bhalwal, Jammu. These projects have been commissioned/inaugurated by the Chief Minister and various other cabinet ministers. In the exhibition, the different heritage cultural sites of Jammu region have been highlighted. These tourism sites have been developed during the last two years of the present government, these include Raghunath Mandir temple, Chingas Fort, and Baba Chambyal. Earlier, the Minister also inaugurated two – day Lohri-cum-Raghunath Bazar Festival at Bagh-e-Bahu.
