J&K Scouts to honour Wadoo with Lion's Award

DECEMBER 31- The executive committee of J&K Scouts and Guides Association of All India Boys Scouts has expressed its happiness over the selection of Mr. Mehraj-ud-Din Wadoo in Asia-II. In a meeting chaired by Chief Commissioner All India Boys Scouts J&K Chapter, Khawja Farooq Renzu Shah, it was observed with satisfaction that the ace footballer has brought international prestige to the sports fraternity of the State. Mr. Wadoo has always participated in scouts activities apart from his original field of football. J&K Scouts has always honoured this proud son of the soil. The meeting observed that the present good news for J&K State is eye opener for those who were not giving heed towards real talents of Kashmir valley. In various Scouts activities for young boys and girls, All India Scouts has been always laying emphasis that education is as important for new generation as sports and scouts activities. When on one hand Shah Faisal made J&K State proud by securing top position in IAS, on the other hand with the arrival of 2011 the breaking news of selection of Mr. Wadoo in Asian-11 has the similar connotation for new generation of the State. All India Scouts, J&K Chapter has decided to honour Mr. Wadoo with 2011 Lion award for his prestigious sports feat in football.
